Fresco from the central apse of the church of Sant Climent de Taüll (Vall de Boí, in the Lleida Pyrenees), painted around 1123 by the painter known as the Master of Taüll. Christ in majesty, on a monumental scale, holds an open book with the inscription “Ego sum lux mundi” (“I am the light of the world”), blesses with his right hand and sits inside a mandorla surrounded by the symbols of the four evangelists. It was moved to Barcelona in 1922 and is now at the MNAC.
