Gothic · chronological order 4

A civil Gothic building put up between 1482 and 1548 for merchants to close their deals, at the height of the Valencian silk trade. Its main room, the Salón Columnario, has eight solomonic shafts twisting up 17 metres with no capitals, one of the most inventive things anyone did with late Gothic in Europe. A World Heritage Site since 1996.
